Privacy policy

WightMade3D is a small studio on the Isle of Wight, run by its owner. This page explains what happens to your information when you use wightmade3d.com. The short version: we collect what’s needed to make and deliver your order, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t send marketing emails.

What we collect, and why

Your order — name, email, delivery address and what you bought — so we can make your pieces, deliver them, email your confirmation and tracking, and keep the records UK law requires. Any personalisation you give us (names, dates, uploaded photos) — so we can make your item. Messages you send to shop@wightmade3d.com — so we can help you. Anonymous, aggregated site statistics using a salted identifier — we can’t identify you from them and we don’t use them for advertising. And only if you say yes on our cookie banner: Meta’s pixel measures visits and purchases so we can see whether our adverts work. Decline, and it never loads.

Who helps us run the shop

They see only what they need: Stripe processes your payment (your card number never touches our systems). Our database is hosted with Supabase in London. The website runs on Vercel. Order emails are sent through Resend (EU). Royal Mail receives your name and address to deliver your parcel. Meta receives advertising measurement only with your consent. If you bought from us on Etsy, TikTok Shop or eBay, their own privacy policies apply to those purchases.

Cookies and your browser

Your basket is stored in your own browser. We remember your cookie choice. The only advertising cookie (Meta’s) is set only if you accept it. Our own analytics don’t use cookies at all.

How long we keep things

Order records: six years, as UK tax law requires. Correspondence: as long as needed to help you.

Your rights

UK GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete and object to our use of your information — email shop@wightmade3d.com and we’ll sort it. If you think we’ve got something wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Who’s responsible: WightMade3D, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom — shop@wightmade3d.com.
