Some people deserve flowers. Some people deserve a gift box that looks completely innocent — ribbon and bow moulded right in, sat there being polite — until they slide the lid open and a pointy finger springs up and stays up. No batteries, no winding, nothing to assemble. Just a small mechanical betrayal, waiting patiently in gift wrap.

It is the perfect length of awkward: too funny to bin, too rude to explain to anyone else, and impossible to pretend you did not find it hilarious. They open it. You watch their face. Job done.

Standard. Box and finger, nothing else. Sometimes a universal gesture says everything that needs saying.

Personalised. I print their name on the finger itself. So it is not just rude, it is specifically rude, aimed at one particular person, in a gift they cannot throw away because it is far too funny. Up to 12 characters, so first names work best.

The kind of thing you hand a colleague on their last day, a mate on their birthday, or a boss who is not quite as stuffy as they pretend to be.

Made to order by me in my studio on the Isle of Wight, from a plant-based bioplastic derived from corn starch. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and keep it off hot windowsills, as it does not love heat.

Delivery & returns

Made to order and dispatched within 3 working days with Royal Mail Tracked 48, which usually arrives 2–3 working days later. UK delivery is free on orders over £30; below that it’s £2.85 for coasters and small items or £3.85 for everything else. Worldwide from £14.

Standard items can be returned within 30 days. Personalised pieces can’t be returned for a change of mind, but if anything is wrong we’ll replace it or refund you in full.

Delivery

Every piece is made to order in our Isle of Wight studio and dispatched within 3 working days. We post everything with Royal Mail Tracked 48, which usually arrives 2–3 working days after dispatch. You’ll get a confirmation email the moment you order, and a tracking email the moment it’s on its way.

UK orders over £30: free delivery.
UK orders under £30: coasters and other small items £2.85 (large letter); everything else £3.85.
Outside the UK: small items £14, larger items £20, with Royal Mail International Tracked. Any customs duties or import taxes are the buyer’s responsibility.

Returns — the short version

Changed your mind? You’ve got 30 days from delivery to return any standard item — just email us first. Personalised pieces are made just for you, so we can only take those back if something’s wrong — and if something is wrong, we’ll always make it right.

Standard items

If you’re not happy with a standard (non-personalised) item for any reason, email shop@wightmade3d.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number. Send it back unused and in its original condition, and we’ll refund it within 14 days of it reaching us. You cover the return postage, unless the item is faulty — then it’s on us.

Personalised items

Because they’re printed or engraved just for you, personalised pieces can’t be returned for a change of mind. But if yours arrives faulty, damaged, or the personalisation doesn’t match what you entered at checkout, tell us within 30 days and we’ll replace it or refund you in full, postage included. Do double-check names, dates and spellings at checkout — we make exactly what you approve.

If anything arrives less than perfect

Email a photo to shop@wightmade3d.com with your order number. Often we won’t need the item back at all — we’ll simply send a replacement or refund you straight away, and if we do need it returned, the postage is on us.

The legal bit

Nothing on this page limits your statutory rights, including your 14-day cancellation right for online purchases of non-personalised goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Sending it as a gift?

Most of what we make ends up as a present, so we never put prices in the parcel. Want to send it straight to them? Just use their address at checkout, and add a message in the note box at the basket — we’ll write it on a card and pop it in with the order.

Materials & care

3D-printed pieces are made in PLA, a plant-based bioplastic from renewable corn starch. Keep them out of direct sun and away from heat — a hot car or a radiator will soften them. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Slate coasters are laser-engraved by hand and are naturally uneven; each one is unique. Photo pieces are UV-printed directly onto the surface, so the image won’t peel or fade.
